Girvan is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Bayside High School Refurbishment in Kogarah, delivered for the NSW Department of Education in collaboration with architect InDzine. The refurbishment was designed to modernise key facilities and create a cohesive, contemporary learning environment that meets the needs of students and staff.
The scope of works encompassed internal refurbishments across multiple areas of the school, science laboratory upgrades to support modern curriculum delivery, and the installation of new furniture throughout. Each element was carefully selected to align with contemporary education standards and specific requirements.
Project delivery presented several logistical complexities, with all works required to be completed within a tight school holiday programme. Girvan implemented a carefully staged approach to minimise disruption to the broader school community and maintain the operational integrity of the campus. Strict safety controls were maintained throughout, supported by structured stakeholder coordination and comprehensive compliance documentation, all of which were instrumental in achieving a seamless handover well ahead of term recommencement.
The result is a revitalised campus that not only meets today’s educational demands but provides a welcoming, inclusive environment for the entire school community.
