Chapels & Crematorium

Northern Metropolitan Land Cemetery assigned Girvan Group the refurbishment of their 3 existing chapels, crematorium and the staff lunchroom at the Macquarie Park Cemetery. The project centred around the Magnolia, Palm and Camellia Chapels which underwent a facelift to create a softer more welcoming environment. Works incorporated new carpets, warmer paints on ceilings and walls, dimmable lighting and furniture.

The internal space connects better with the new paved external courtyard through large glass sliding doors. As you move your way out, the pavers change colour and you are presented with a large planter box with the corresponding tree type to the respective chapel name.
