Girvan Group were engaged by Chubb to create the strategic model, design and construction of their flagship head office. Each floor or “neighbourhood” has its own collaborative space, meeting rooms, utilities and breakout area.
The modern open plan office allows Chubb’s employees to interact with each other on a regular basis by removing the physical barriers found in a traditional workspace.
The neighbourhood’s are connected by a large internal staircase – or “vertical highway” allowing staff to move between the floors of the building without taking the elevator. With a strong focus on craftsmanship, locally made and sustainable produced products including feature timber walls, stone flooring, timber joinery and partitions used predominately throughout the space.
