Level 2, 7 Macquarie Place
Girvan was engaged to reimagine an existing fit-out over 1,200m2 of Level 2 at 7 Macquarie Place, Sydney, on behalf of GPT & Unisuper. The project culminated in a total refurbishment that featured sleek contemporary interiors, seamlessly blended with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The design prioritised open spaces and natural light, fostering a cohesive workplace environment that enhanced both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The design retained the existing services, infrastructure, and fit-out elements to minimise waste and reduce costs. Lighter tones were chosen for the finishes to create a more uplifting atmosphere in the lower floor setting.
Conducting the works in a live environment posed challenges, so careful consideration was given to construction methodology to ensure minimal impact and disruption to occupants. Girvan seamlessly incorporated elements of ‘old meets new’ into the design, executed with attention to detail.
