Multilevel Darling Park, 201 Sussex Street, Sydney
Girvan is proud to have delivered a landmark multilevel fit-out across four levels at Darling Park, one of Sydney’s premier commercial addresses. Engaged by client GPT, with Cerno as project managers and Woods Bagot as designer, the scope of works touched every aspect of building presentation from tenant suites to core amenities. Level 13 involved a full-floor spec suite and house area upgrade.
Levels 14-16 encompassed upgrades to lift lobbies, common corridors, and male, female and DDA amenities, along with comprehensive services improvements across all floors. Premium materials were selected throughout to reinforce a refined aesthetic befitting the asset: stone cladding to lift lobby walls and floors, timber cladding to corridors, and natural stone vanities to bathrooms. Delivered as a staged Design & Construct project within a live commercial environment, the works required careful management of noise, dust and subcontractor interfaces across multiple active levels simultaneously.
Girvan’s key value-add was in design management, working closely with Woods Bagot and services consultants to ensure the overall design intent was never compromised by existing site conditions, maintaining quality and program certainty throughout. The accelerated completion of Level 13 enabled early tenant walkthroughs, contributing directly to GPT securing a tenant shortly after works were completed, a strong validation of the project’s delivery approach and the quality of the finished outcome.
