University Queensland Chinchilla
Girvan was commissioned by the University of Queensland to oversee the transformation of the Illoura Aged Care Village activity wing into an innovative tertiary education center. This center is dedicated to shaping the next generation of nurses, midwives, and allied healthcare professionals, specifically tailored for rural health placements.
Collaborating with the visionary Belinda Douglas from Cottee Parker Design, Girvan successfully brought this project to fruition. The recently unveiled regional training center in Chinchilla stands as a testament to cutting-edge design and functionality.
It not only provides top-tier facilities but also fosters an environment that actively engages, educates, and supports the cultivation of a highly skilled healthcare workforce. This initiative extends its impact across the expansive Darling Downs and Southwest Queensland regions.
