Girvan Group and the UNSW project team recently delivered the unique and complex refurbishment of the UNSW Glasshouse for the School of Biological, Earth & Science faculty. The existing structure was upgraded and existing 6.38 glazing replaced with new 10.38 trafficable glazing.
This also included upgraded louvres, upgraded base building services, operable windows, evaporative Coolers, AHUs, new distribution board, retractable shade cloth curtains and new specialized irrigation systems including pumps and water tanks.
All of the above and the climate within the structure is controlled by an upgraded BMS. (Building management System)
