Girvan is proud to have delivered this complex refurbishment and building upgrade project within a live education environment, requiring careful planning, strong stakeholder coordination, and staged integration of new services within existing structures to maintain safe and continuous operations.
The works transformed existing facilities into a modern veterinary sciences teaching precinct, encompassing specialist learning environments including animal handling facilities, laboratories, anatomy teaching areas, and a clinical skills training centre. Accessibility upgrades were also delivered, including new lift access, stair modifications, and improved amenities.
Significant building services upgrades were undertaken, including new chillers, infrastructure cabling and pipework, and upgrades to the BMS and switchboards to enhance operational efficiency. The outcome is a high-quality, fit-for-purpose teaching precinct that supports both students and staff, delivered with a strong focus on safety, program certainty, and minimal disruption
